Vigorus Side Effects: Ingredient by Ingredient
Vigorus has no safety study of its own. Its ingredients raise a few clear questions. L-citrulline and pine bark may add to blood pressure medicines, and pine bark may add to blood thinners. Zinc (11 mg) can lower some antibiotics. Niacin is 20 mg, under the 35 mg upper limit. Not for anyone under 18, pregnant or nursing.

Does Vigorus cause side effects?
No study has tested Vigorus itself, so there is no measured list of side effects for this capsule. What we have is research on each of its eight ingredients, and that research points to a few clear questions about medicines.
Each capsule holds two nutrients with printed amounts: 20 mg of niacin and 11 mg of zinc. It also holds a 570 mg proprietary blend of six ingredients with no single amounts. Because the blend amounts are hidden, plan as if each one is there in a real amount.
The label prints one caution. Here it is word for word:
"Do not exceed recommended dose. Not for use for those under the age of 18 or pregnant or nursing mothers. Consult with a physician prior to use especially if you are taking a medication or have a medical condition."
The label also says, in capital letters: "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT USE IF SAFETY SEAL IS DAMAGED OR MISSING." The suggested use is one capsule daily. The label gives no time of day and no food rule. You can see the whole panel on the Supplement Facts page.
What is known about each Vigorus ingredient?
At the amounts in one capsule, most of the eight ingredients have mild or unknown effects. The table sets out what the research says for each one, in label order, and which medicines to raise with your doctor.
US rules list a blend from most to least by weight. So L-citrulline can be at most 570 mg, and saffron at most 95 mg. These are upper limits, not real amounts. The later ingredients are likely much smaller.
| Ingredient (label order) | Amount per capsule | What the research says about side effects | Medicines and products to ask about |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vitamin B3 (as niacin) | 20 mg, printed | Nicotinic acid can cause flushing, a red, warm, itchy feeling in the skin, at 30 mg or more. The upper limit from supplements is 35 mg a day. NIH ODS, niacin | Any multivitamin or B-complex. Add up the niacin from every product. |
| Zinc (as zinc oxide) | 11 mg, printed | Too much zinc can cause nausea. Taken high for a long time, it can lower copper. The upper limit is 40 mg a day from all sources. NIH ODS, zinc | Quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics. Zinc can lower how much you absorb, so space them 2 to 6 hours apart. |
| L-citrulline | Up to 570 mg | Blood pressure studies used about 3 to 10 g a day. The capsule holds far less. Allerton et al., 2018 | Blood pressure medicines. It touches circulation and may add to their effect. |
| L-carnitine | Up to 285 mg | At 3 g a day or more it can cause stomach upset and a fishy body odor. NIH ODS, carnitine | Some seizure medicines, which can lower carnitine levels in the blood. |
| Pine bark extract | Up to 190 mg | Evidence for most uses is thin. Pooled studies found no clear blood pressure benefit. MSK, 2023 | Blood thinners such as warfarin, and blood pressure medicines. It may add to both. |
| Maca root extract | Up to 143 mg | Typical doses run 500 to 3,000 mg a day. Liver injury is unlikely. LiverTox, 2019 | No named drug interaction in our source. Show the label if you take any daily medicine. |
| Grape skin extract | Up to 114 mg | No standard dose exists. The label gives no resveratrol amount, so strength is unknown. | Show the label if you take any daily medicine. |
| Saffron stigmas extract | Up to 95 mg | Studied in a handful of small trials that mostly looked at mood, not at this formula. | Show the label if you take any daily medicine. |
Two things stand out. Niacin and zinc are the only amounts you can check against safe limits, and both sit below them on their own. The blend ingredients are all far below the doses used in research, which also means less is known about them at this size.
Which medicines should you ask about before taking Vigorus?
Ask first if you take blood pressure medicine, a blood thinner, certain antibiotics or seizure medicine. Four ingredients have a known link to one of those groups.
Blood pressure medicine
L-citrulline and pine bark touch circulation and may add to blood pressure medicines. If you take one, show the label to a clinician first.
Blood thinners
Pine bark may add to blood thinners such as warfarin. MSK Tell your surgeon or dentist about it before any procedure.
Some antibiotics
Zinc can lower how much quinolone or tetracycline antibiotic you absorb. Take the antibiotic 2 hours before or 4 to 6 hours after the capsule. NIH ODS
Seizure medicines
Some seizure medicines can lower carnitine in the blood. NIH ODS Ask your doctor whether the small amount here matters for you.
Can you stack Vigorus with a multivitamin?
You can, but add up the niacin and zinc first. A multivitamin often carries both, and the totals are what count against the upper limits.
Vigorus gives you 20 mg of niacin. The upper limit from supplements is 35 mg a day. NIH ODS says flushing from nicotinic acid can start at 30 mg or more. So a multivitamin with 15 mg or more of niacin could put you at the point where flushing shows up.
Vigorus gives you 11 mg of zinc, which equals the daily need for adult men. The upper limit is 40 mg a day from all sources. A zinc lozenge habit or a second zinc product can push you past it. Over time, too much zinc can lower copper.
Read both labels
Find the niacin and zinc lines on your multivitamin and on the Vigorus panel.
Add the numbers
Niacin should stay at 35 mg or less a day. Zinc should stay at 40 mg or less, food included.
Adjust if needed
If you go over, ask your doctor which product to drop or change.
Who should not take Vigorus?
Vigorus is for adult men 18 and older. The label rules out anyone under 18 and anyone pregnant or nursing, and the ingredients add a few more groups who should ask first.
- Anyone under 18. The label names this group directly.
- Anyone who is pregnant or nursing. The label names this group too.
- Men who take blood pressure medicine or a blood thinner, until a clinician has seen the label.
- Men on quinolone or tetracycline antibiotics, unless they space the doses as advised.
- Men on seizure medicine, until they have asked about the carnitine.
- Anyone with a medical condition, until a physician says it is fine. The label asks for this.
Only take one capsule a day. The label says not to exceed the recommended dose, and taking two does not make up for a missed day. Store the bottle below 30°C (86°F), in a cool, dry place.
Why does the FDA warn about products in this category?
The FDA warns that some products sold for sexual enhancement have contained hidden prescription drug ingredients. This is a warning about the category as a whole, not a finding about Vigorus.
The FDA page on hidden ingredients explains that such drugs can interact with medicines and cause harm. It is a good reason to buy sealed bottles from a known seller and to read the label before you start. We only report what the Vigorus label prints.
- Buy from a seller you can reach by phone. The Vigorus order desk is +1 (323) 391-7352.
- Check that the safety seal is in place before the first capsule.
- Make sure the Supplement Facts panel matches: niacin 20 mg, zinc 11 mg, blend 570 mg.
- See the where to buy page for how to tell a real bottle.
What should you do if you feel unwell?
Stop taking the capsules and call your doctor. In an emergency, call 911.
Mild stomach upset may settle on its own, but anything that lasts or worries you is a reason to stop. Keep the bottle so your doctor can read the label.
Then tell the order desk at +1 (323) 391-7352 and give your order ID. You can also report a problem with any supplement to the FDA through its MedWatch program. If you stop within the window, the 60-day guarantee still applies to your order.
Vigorus side effects: common questions
Can Vigorus cause flushing?
Flushing from niacin usually starts at 30 mg or more. Vigorus has 20 mg. If a multivitamin adds 10 mg or more on top, you may get close to that point.
Can I take Vigorus with blood pressure medicine?
Show the label to a clinician first. L-citrulline and pine bark touch circulation and may add to blood pressure medicines.
Can I take Vigorus with an antibiotic?
Zinc can lower how much quinolone or tetracycline antibiotic you absorb. Space them 2 to 6 hours apart, and ask your pharmacist.
Does Vigorus contain caffeine?
No. The label lists no caffeine or other stimulant. It lists two nutrients, a six-ingredient blend and the capsule.
What if I take two capsules by mistake?
The label says not to exceed the recommended dose. Do not skip a day to make up for it. Just go back to one capsule a day. If you feel unwell, call your doctor or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
Is Vigorus vegetarian?
The capsule is made from hypromellose, a vegetable capsule. The other ingredients listed are microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide.
