Has the FDA evaluated Vigorus?
No. The statements on this site and on the label have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The label carries the standard FDA statement, which says the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
The FDA does not approve dietary supplements before they are sold (FDA). The "FDA-registered facility" seal describes a factory, not the product. Our testing and quality page reads each of the ten seals.
Should you talk to a doctor before taking Vigorus?
Yes, if any line below fits you. The label says: "Consult with a physician prior to use especially if you are taking a medication or have a medical condition."
- You take blood pressure medicine or a blood thinner.
- You take an antibiotic, or a multivitamin with niacin or zinc.
- You have a medical condition or a procedure coming up.
- You are under 18, pregnant or nursing. The label says Vigorus is not for you.
Some ingredients may interact with medicines. L-citrulline and pine bark touch circulation and may add to blood pressure medicines, and pine bark may add to blood thinners (MSK). Zinc can reduce some antibiotics (NIH ODS). If you take blood-pressure or blood-thinning medicine, show the label to a clinician first.

Vigorus, the heart and erection problems: when the doctor comes first
Vigorus is a dietary supplement made to support circulation, libido and healthy testosterone within the normal range. It does not treat erectile dysfunction, low testosterone or any heart or blood-vessel condition, and it is never a replacement for a prescribed medicine. These are the situations where an appointment should come before a first capsule.
You take a nitrate
Nitroglycerin and the other nitrates for angina open blood vessels and drop blood pressure, and they must never be taken with erection drugs such as sildenafil (MedlinePlus). The citrulline and pine bark in the Vigorus blend also act on blood vessels, so the doctor who prescribes your nitrate should decide.
You take blood-pressure tablets or an erection drug
Medicines for high blood pressure (MedlinePlus) and erection drugs (MedlinePlus, sildenafil) both relax blood vessels. Show the label to your doctor or pharmacist so they can judge whether Vigorus adds to that effect. The same applies to blood thinners (MedlinePlus).
You have a heart condition
Coronary heart disease, angina, an irregular heartbeat or a recent heart attack or stroke all call for your cardiologist’s opinion first (NHLBI). Chest pain or pressure, or sudden breathlessness, is an emergency: call 911 (NHLBI, heart attack symptoms).
Your erection problems are new
Erection trouble can be the first sign of narrowed arteries, diabetes or high blood pressure (NIDDK, MedlinePlus). A doctor can look for those causes; a supplement cannot.
Something feels wrong after you start
Stop taking Vigorus and call your doctor. Fainting, chest pain or a racing heart needs emergency care, and a suspected reaction can be reported to the FDA through MedWatch.
