Read from the Supplement Facts panel
Vigorus Ingredients: Two Nutrients and a 570 mg Blend
Each Vigorus capsule has 20 mg niacin (125% DV) and 11 mg zinc (100% DV), plus a 570 mg blend of L-citrulline, L-carnitine, pine bark, maca root, grape skin and saffron extracts. No blend amounts are printed. By label order, L-citrulline could be up to 570 mg and saffron up to 95 mg.

What is in Vigorus capsules?
Each Vigorus capsule holds two nutrients with printed amounts and six ingredients in a 570 mg blend. Four other ingredients form the capsule and help it fill evenly.
All of this comes from the Supplement Facts panel on the bottle. The serving size is 1 capsule, and there are 30 in each bottle.
2 printed nutrients
Niacin (vitamin B3) at 20 mg and zinc at 11 mg. Both show a % Daily Value.
6 blend ingredients
Two amino acid compounds and four plant extracts share one 570 mg total.
4 other ingredients
A vegetable capsule plus three helpers that keep the powder flowing.
Niacin and zinc: the two printed amounts
Niacin and zinc are the only ingredients with exact amounts on the label. That makes them the easiest part of Vigorus to judge.

Vitamin B3 comes as niacin, 20 mg per capsule. That is 125% of the Daily Value. Adult men need about 16 mg a day, and most get that from food. The upper limit for niacin from supplements is 35 mg a day. Nicotinic acid can cause skin flushing at 30 mg or more (NIH ODS, niacin).
Zinc comes as zinc oxide, 11 mg per capsule. That equals the daily need for adult men and 100% of the Daily Value. The upper limit is 40 mg a day from food and supplements together (NIH ODS, zinc).
| Nutrient | Per capsule | % Daily Value | Adult men need | Upper limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vitamin B3 (as niacin) | 20 mg | 125% | 16 mg NE a day | 35 mg a day from supplements |
| Zinc (as zinc oxide) | 11 mg | 100% | 11 mg a day | 40 mg a day from all sources |
Both amounts sit below their upper limits on their own. The math changes if you also take a multivitamin, which is why how to take Vigorus covers adding them up.
The six blend ingredients in label order
The label lists six ingredients under "Proprietary Blend 570 mg" with no single amount. Here they are from first to last, each with a short research note.
1. L-Citrulline
What it is: amino acid. Listed first, so it is the largest share of the 570 mg blend. It can make up 570 mg of each capsule at the very most.
Research note: Blood pressure studies used about 3 to 10 g a day (Allerton et al., 2018).
2. L-Carnitine
What it is: amino acid compound. A compound the body makes from amino acids; also in meat. It can make up 285 mg of each capsule at the very most.
Research note: Studies used about 1 to 3 g a day; at 3 g or more it can cause stomach upset (NIH ODS, 2023).
3. Pine Bark Extract
What it is: Pinus pinaster, bark. French maritime pine bark; the label does not name a brand or standard. It can make up 190 mg of each capsule at the very most.
Research note: Reviews call the evidence for most uses insufficient; it may add to blood thinners (MSK, 2023).
4. Maca Root Extract
What it is: Lepidium meyenii, root. A root vegetable from the Peruvian Andes. It can make up 143 mg of each capsule at the very most.
Research note: Typical doses run 500 to 3,000 mg a day; rigorous human proof is lacking (LiverTox, 2019).
5. Grape Skin Extract
What it is: Vitis vinifera, skin. The label does not say how much resveratrol or other polyphenols it holds. It can make up 114 mg of each capsule at the very most.
Research note: No standard dose exists for grape skin extract; the label gives no strength. For a plain guide to judging any supplement, see the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements.
6. Saffron Stigmas Extract
What it is: Crocus sativus, stigmas. Listed last, so it is the smallest share of the blend. It can make up 95 mg of each capsule at the very most.
Research note: Five small trials, mostly on mood, used saffron extract daily (Hausenblas et al., 2013).
How much of each blend ingredient could be in a capsule?
Nobody outside the company knows the real amounts. You can still find the most each one could be, because US rules list blend ingredients from most to least by weight.
So the second ingredient can weigh half the blend at most. The third can be a third at most, and so on. Divide 570 mg by the position and you get the ceiling.
| Blend ingredient (label order) | Source on label | Most it can be per capsule | Amounts used in research | Ceiling vs research |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. L-Citrulline | amino acid | Up to 570 mg | About 3,000 to 10,000 mg a day in blood pressure studies | At most about one fifth of the low end |
| 2. L-Carnitine | amino acid compound | Up to 285 mg | About 1,000 to 3,000 mg a day | At most under a third of the low end |
| 3. Pine Bark Extract | Pinus pinaster, bark | Up to 190 mg | No dose with clear proof for most uses | Nothing to compare against |
| 4. Maca Root Extract | Lepidium meyenii, root | Up to 143 mg | About 500 to 3,000 mg a day | At most under a third of the low end |
| 5. Grape Skin Extract | Vitis vinifera, skin | Up to 114 mg | No standard dose exists | Nothing to compare against |
| 6. Saffron Stigmas Extract | Crocus sativus, stigmas | Up to 95 mg | Daily extract in 5 small trials, mostly on mood | Not a mood product; no comparison made |
No study has tested the Vigorus formula as a whole. The how Vigorus works page explains what that means for the claims on the sales page.
What are the other ingredients?
The other ingredients hold the powder and help the machines fill each capsule. The label lists them as: hypromellose (vegetable capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide.
| Other ingredient | Job | Plain note |
|---|---|---|
| Hypromellose | Vegetable capsule shell | Plant-based cellulose. It fits the vegetarian seal. |
| Microcrystalline cellulose | Filler | Evens out the powder so each capsule holds the same weight. |
| Magnesium stearate | Flow aid | Stops powder from sticking to the filling machine. |
| Silicon dioxide | Anti-caking agent | Keeps the powder loose and dry. |
The shell is hypromellose, a plant-based material, not gelatin. That lines up with the vegetarian seal on the sales page.
What does the label leave out?
The label is clear on totals but quiet on detail. Here is what you cannot learn from the bottle.

- No milligram amount for any of the six blend ingredients
- No standard for pine bark or grape skin, such as a percent of an active compound
- No resveratrol amount for the grape skin extract
- No caffeine or other stimulant
- No manufacturer name, only the distributor in Aurora, CO
Which ingredients are worth a word with your doctor?
A few ingredients touch the same systems as common medicines. If you take any prescription, bring the bottle to your doctor or pharmacist first.
L-citrulline and pine bark touch circulation and may add to blood pressure medicines. Pine bark may also add to blood thinners such as warfarin (MSK, 2023). Zinc can lower how well quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics work, so space them 2 to 6 hours apart. The side effects page covers each one in more depth.
Vigorus ingredients: common questions
How many ingredients are in Vigorus?
Twelve in total. Two nutrients (niacin and zinc), six blend ingredients, and four other ingredients that make up and fill the capsule.
Which blend ingredient is there the most of?
L-citrulline. It is listed first, and blend ingredients must be listed from most to least by weight. Saffron is listed last, so it is the smallest share.
Is 570 mg of L-citrulline a research dose?
No. Even if the whole blend were L-citrulline, 570 mg is about one fifth of the 3 g low end used in blood pressure studies (Allerton et al., 2018).
Is the Vigorus capsule vegetarian?
The shell is hypromellose, a vegetable capsule, so it fits the vegetarian seal. The label does not show a third-party vegetarian certificate.
Does Vigorus contain caffeine?
No. There is no caffeine or other stimulant on the label.
Can I take Vigorus with a multivitamin?
Many people do, but add up the niacin and zinc from both. Stay under 35 mg of niacin from supplements and 40 mg of zinc from all sources a day.
